Coach Andy Borgen

Andy Borgen is starting his 4th year as Head Football Coach for Mars Area Middle School. The Middle School team earned an undefeated season in 2023.  Coach Andy Borgen graduated from Pine-Richland High School in 2011 where he started at quarterback and was voted team captain his senior year. Coach Borgen had over 1,500 yards of offense that year and finished top 10 in passing for the WPIAL in 2010. In Track & Field, Andy was a 3-time MVP, 4-time WPIAL finalist and Top 5 All Time for Javelin and Top 10 All Time for Shot Put in Pine-Richland history.  Andy continued his football career at Saint Vincent College where he was quarterback for 4 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 2015.  Andy Borgen is also currently Assistant Head Coach in the Track & Field program at Pine-Richland High School and was Middle School Football Coach from 2018-2021. Andy always believed that hard work and commitment was necessary to be competitive in sports and in life. He is hoping to use his football expertise to take student athletes to the next level.
