COLLEGE COACHES: 2025 WPIAL Northern Showcase
Coach Malinowski joined the Fightin’ Planets coaching staff in 2021. He is a 1998 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School in Houston, PA where he was a three-sport athlete (football, basketball, and track). He was appointed to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD where he captained and played quarterback for the Midshipmen. He graduated with a BS in English in 2002. From 2003-2008, Coach Malinowski served as a Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps, deploying three times to Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM.
In 2008, he began his high school coaching career as the Offensive Coordinator at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA. where he helped the Cardinals to a nine-win season and a single-season passing record in 2010. From 2014 to 2021, Coach Malinowski served as an assistant coach at Pine-Richland High School. While there he helped the Rams win four WPIAL Championships and two PIAA Championships.
In 2017, Coach Malinowski was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame by the Washington-Greene County Chapter. Coach Malinowski holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Duquesne University’s Donahue School of Business. He is a resident of Mars, PA.
