Coach Tim Vernick

Coach Tim Vernick enters his 2nd season as an outside linebackers coach for Mars High School. He is a Butler graduate where he was a 3 year starter and captain. Coach Vernick attended and played football at Slippery Rock University. While at SRU he was a 4-year starter and 2-time captain. In his career at SRU, he was an All-District linebacker that finished 19th in total tackles, 22nd in TFL’s, and 23rd in solo tackles in the all time school history, while also leading the SRU defense to a PSAC championship and the second final four appearance in school history. While at SRU Coach Vernick majored in Computer Science, with focuses in cybersecurity and information technology for undergrad, and also earned a Masters in Business Administration. He is now currently working for Duquesne Light Company as a Senior Information Security Analyst.
